10 Mountain Peaks to Explore in Møre og Romsdal

Dalsnibba is a mountain in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located at the end of the Geiranger valley, about 7 km south of the village of Geiranger and the Geirangerfjorden. The 2-square-kilometer lake Djupvatnet lies directly to the southeast of the mountain. The mountain is located very near the county border with both Oppland and Sogn og Fjordane counties, in the southeastern part of Møre og Romsdal county.

Innerdalstårnet is a majestic mountain in Innerdalen. The Innerdalen, is a valley famous for being one of the most beautiful valleys in Norway. Innerdalstårnet is the unmistakeable cone-shaped spear that any visitor of Innerdalen will notice. The normal-route is class 3-4 scrambling. In addition, there are several classic climbing routes.

Mannen is a mountain in Rauma Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The 1,294-metre tall mountain is located just west of Horgheim, along the river Rauma in the Romsdalen valley. Mannen has a distinctive needle peak. The mountain's shape has been compared to an enormous seated goose that looks out over the Rauma valley, from which it can easily be seen.

Romsdalen is a 60-kilometre-long valley in the western part of Norway. Surrounded by tall mountains, the main road E136 runs along the valley floor offering stunning views. Rauma line- the railway between the town of Åndalsnes and the village of Dombås also runs through the valley. Skageflå is one of a handful of historic mountain farms on the steep mountainsides along the Geirangerfjorden. It is located in Stranda Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. Skageflå lies approximately 250 meters above the fjord. The farm is a 2 to 4 hour walk from the nearby village of Geiranger, and can also be reached with help of a local sightseeing boat. The boat takes passengers to a spot on the fjord just below the farm, from where they face a very steep half-hour climb.

Store Venjetinden is a mountain in the municipality f Rauma in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located about 3 kilometers northeast of the mountain Romsdalshornet, about 4 kilometers east of the Rauma river and European Route E136, and about 10 kilometers southeast of the town of Åndalsnes. It is the highest summit in the Romsdalsalpane range.
