Immaculate Conception Church
The Immaculate Conception Parish Church, commonly known as Guiuan Church, is a Roman Catholic church in the municipality of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, Philippines, within the jurisdiction of the Diocese of Borongan. The church is classified as a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines. It was formerly nominated to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Philippines under two categories, the Baroque Churches of the Philippines and the Jesuit Churches of the Philippines.
Samar Island Natural Park
The park includes some of the island’s well-known protected natural landmarks and landscapes like the Sohoton Natural Bridge National Park, Calbiga Caves Protected Landscape, Taft Forest Wildlife Sanctuary, Jicontol Watershed Forest Reserve and Bulosao Watershed Forest Reserve. It is now one of the renowned places of natural beauty in this area. A lot of tourists visit this place every year.
A picturesque island in the heart of Eastern Samar which was known for the beautiful beaches. The island was deemed to be the first site of anchorage for Ferdinand Magellan's Spanish Armada. This breathtaking island is a three-hour boat ride from Guiuan, or around 30 kilometers from the nearest mainland.
