Valdres Folkemuseum

The Valdres Folkemuseum in Fagernes was founded in 1901 and with its 105 buildings it is one of the largest open-air museums in the country. It is beautifully situated on the peninsula Storøye on the banks of Lake Strandefjorden in Fagernes. The museum focuses especially on folk music and instruments, folk costumes, and the conservation of historical buildings.
