About Kampong Speu Province
Kampong Speu is a province of Cambodia. It borders the provinces of Pursat and Kampong Chhnang to the north, Kandal to the east, Takéo to the southeast, Kampot to the south, and Koh Kong to the west. Its capital is Chebar Mon town.

Kirirom National Park

The Kirirom National Park is located in Kampong Speu in southwest Cambodia in the Cardamom mountain range. It offers excellent cold weather and it is situated above 700 meters from the sea level. It is surrounded by cliffs, pine trees, wooded hills, Buddhist shrines, and splendid views of Cardamom mountains. It is a popular day-trip destination for tourists visiting Phnom Penh, who enjoy the waterfalls, lakes and many species of birds and animals.

It was one of the tallest peaks in Cambodia. The view from its top is truly astonishing. It is in the eastern part of the Cardamom Mountains. To protect the biodiversity of the mountains, Phnom Aural Wildlife Sanctuary was established in 1993.
