Wildlife Sanctuaries to explore in Surin
Surin is a large province in the Mun River Basin of Thailand’s Northeastern Isan region. Surin is known as a city of elephants because in the past, elephants were the main vehicles of Surin people and their unique skill to taming the elephants.
Many elephants can be found at Ban Taklang Elephant Village. The villagers keep elephants as pets. The elephants here are treated like friends and have been trained well by their mahouts.
