Hermit’s Rest is a welcome resting spot for weary hikers, travelers, and history enthusiasts. It is a place where you can find a great snack, great staff, and even a seat by the enormous alcove stone fireplace. It is one of four Mary Jane Colter Buildings that, as a set, were added to the National Register of Historic Places and declared to be a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
