Spitzmauer

The Spitzmauer is the second highest mountain in the Dead Mountains in Upper Austria with a height of 2446 m above sea level. The approximately 800 meter high east wall made of banked Dachstein limestone gives the mountain from this side a shapely summit structure that dominates the Stodertal. Some classic tours of the Dead Mountains lead through the east face of the Spitzmauer.

Sternstein

The Sternstein Mountain is situated in the north of Upper Austria, Austria in the districts of Bad Leonfelden and Vorderweißenbach. On its north flank it also reaches into the Czech Republic. As measured by the height above sea level of its summit it is 1125 meters high. There are four kilometers of slopes on the east flank of the mountain and the Sternstein GmbH operates a combined funicular and chair lift with a capacity of 2850 persons/hour to get to the top of the mountain.

Traunstein

Traunstein is the highest mountain on the east bank of Traunsee in the district of Gmunden, Austria. As measured by the height above sea level of its summit it is 1,691 metres high. Because of its almost vertical walls ending directly in the lake and secluded, advanced position Traunstein looks like a boulder in the landscape. Quiet risky trekking location and also there are options for many other adventures too.

Upper Austrian Prealps

The Upper Austrian Pre-Alps are a mountain group of the Eastern Alps, which includes the area between the Trauntal in the west and the Ennstal in the east, to Steyr in the north, which is customarily also in the Enns and Steyrtal Pre-Alps and Salzkammergut-Pre-Alps. From a political point of view, the area comprises the districts of Steyr-Land and Kirchdorf . Large parts are located in the Kalkalpen National Park .

Warscheneck

Warscheneck is a mountain of the Totes Gebirge in the Eastern Alps, in Upper Austria. It is located near the town of Liezen, and is a popular mountain for hiking in the summer and ski touring in the winter.

Zwieselalm

The Zwieselalm , formerly also the Zwieselalpe , is a pasture area in the Salzkammergut in Austria at an altitude of between 1300 and 1500 meters. In summer, the Zwieselalm is a beautiful hiking area, which can be reached either by foot or with the Gosaukamm cable car from Lake Gosau. In winter, the Zwieselalm forms a part of the Dachstein-West ski area, where, in addition to perfect conditions for families, there are also some freeride runs for experienced winter sports fans.
