Battery Park

This is a public park which has an area of 25 acre located at the southern tip of Manhattan Island. The park contains attractions such as an old fort named Castle Clinton; multiple monuments; and the SeaGlass Carousel. The park and surrounding area is named for the artillery batteries that were built in the late 17th century to protect the settlement behind them.

Bryant Park

A large public park which was located in Newyork County which was managed privately. The park hosts several events, including a seasonal "Winter Village" with an ice rink and shops during the winter.

A narrow island which was located in the centre of the east river Manhattan. Roosevelt Island is part of the borough of Manhattan. Roosevelt Island has many bicycle trails and walking paths for people to explore the island with. There is also a free bus service.
