Abbey House Museum

Bagshaw Museum and Wilton Park

Bagshaw Museum was the house of a former Victorian mill owner, first opened as a museum in 1911 and named after its first curator, Walter Bagshaw. The museum contains two local history galleries, a South Asia gallery, a temporary exhibition space, and, unusually for a local museum, an Egyptological gallery. The museum also holds a substantial collection of Asian textiles, including Japanese and Chinese pieces from the Hilditch collection, subsequent donations from private individuals.

Bingley St.Ives is a country park that was located on the outskirt of Bingley. The Golf Club was formed in 1931 as a municipal club under the auspices of Bingley Urban District Council. Initially the course was of a 9-hole layout which was expanded to 18 holes in 1934. Over the more recent decades the course has been further developed with input from several leading players including Sir Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros and Jose Maria Canizares contributing to the improvement of various holes.

Black Hill is a fairly featureless grassy hill to the west of Malham Tarn which has just enough prominence to qualify for the list of Fours. The top of the hill is unmarked by cairn or trig point. The highest point seems to be a very slight but obvious grassy mound on the western side of the top. Black Hill has few of the eroded rocks which are such a feature of Kinder and Bleaklow.

Blackstone Edge is a gritstone escarpment rising to 1549 feet above sea level in the South Pennine hills, surrounded by moorland on the boundary between Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire in northern England. With a summit peaking at 349m, Blackstone Edge is ideally situated to capture the winds that blow across the Pennines, and the three turbines generate enough electricity to power an estimated 4,544 homes.

Bramham Park is a Grade I listed 18th-century country house in Bramham, between Leeds and Wetherby, in West Yorkshire, England. The house, constructed of magnesian limestone ashlar with stone slate roofs in a classical style, is built to a linear plan with a main range linked by colonnades to flanking pavilions. The main block is of three storeys with a raised forecourt.

The site was developed as an iron age hill fort, surrounded by defensive ditches and ramparts. In the Middle Ages there was a castle on the hill, of which the well remains. The present tower was built to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee of 1897 No camping, barbeques or fires are allowed due to the damage that has been sustained to the ancient monument and vegetation.

City Park, Bradford

Bradford City Park is a public park in the centre of Bradford, West Yorkshire. It was part of the 'masterplan' for Bradford city centre, a regeneration project first begun in 2003. Several revisions were made to the original plans. Funding was announced by the council in July 2009 and work was begun in December 2009. Cliffe Castle was originally the home of Victorian millionaire and textile manufacturer, Henry Isaac Butterfield. Completed in the 1880s the building was funded by the Butterfield family’s industrial empire which included wool textile mills and a shipping business that took British goods to Europe, America and China. The completed house was a showpiece of international art and French decoration. It was the scene of many glittering social events.
