Oasis of Mara is a spring in San Bernardino County and has an elevation of 600 metres. A paved, level, half mile loop path winds through the oasis, which contains one main group of palms, centered on a spring, and a few other trees nearby, not all living; one section has a somewhat forlorn appearance, with several dead trunks having lost their crowns, rising above piles of long-discarded leaves.

Prado Regional Park is a one-stop recreational paradise located in the Chino Valley basin where San Bernardino. It offers fishing, archery, camping, a golf course, horseback riding, and a shooting range, which was the site of the 1984 Olympic shooting events.

The Providence Mountains State Recreation Area is located in the Providence Mountains, within the Mojave National Preserve in San Bernardino County, California. It is also home to the Mitchell Caverns Natural Preserve. The Recreation Area is located on the east side of the Providence Mountains range and has dramatic views of the surrounding Mojave Desert. This is the highest peak in Southern California which was in the San Bernardino Mountains. It is one of the most topographically prominent peaks in the United States. The mountain has a pyramid shape, with a steep north face and a slightly shallower south face.

The San Gorgonio Wilderness is a unique sub-alpine landscape surrounded by desert to the east. The wilderness is part of the eastern slope of the San Bernardino Mountains, with topography rapidly changing from low, rolling foothills and canyons to steep, rugged mountains. Because of this elevation gradient, the wilderness reflects a transition between desert, coastal and mountain environments, including the different types of vegetation representative of each elevation.

The 154,000-acre monument extends from Bureau of Land Management lands on the Sonoran desert floor up to over 10,000 feet in the San Gorgonio Wilderness on the San Bernardino National Forest.It protects diverse montane and desert habitats of the San Bernardino Mountains, southern Mojave Desert, and northwestern Colorado Desert.

The Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area is one of many California State Parks features picnicking, hiking trails, swimming beaches, and designated areas for boating, water-skiing and fishing.The Pacific Crest Trail, "the jewel in the crown of America's scenic trails" spanning 2,650 mi from Mexico to Canada through three western states, passes through the Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area, with trailheads for short or long hikes

SkyPark at Santa's Village is an Outdoor Adventure Park with year-round mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing and open air activities in the Skyforest section of Lake Arrowhead, California. The Park resides on 230-acre of natural forest with meadowlands, ponds and an apple orchard. At the core of SkyPark is The Village, which includes historic log cabin restaurants and shops, seasonal entertainment, and open-air activities.

Snow Summit is a ski resort that was established in 1952 in San Bernardino county. It is also one of the larger ski areas in Southern California and is considered to be one of the most popular skis and snowboard destinations for patrons from around the Los Angeles area.

Snow Valley Mountain Resort is a ski resort located in Running Springs, California. It is the oldest continually operating ski resort in Southern California and is also one of four ski resorts in the San Bernardino National Forest. It has a total of 13 functioning lifts.

The Trona Pinnacles are a unique geological features in the California Desert Conservation Area. The unusual landscape consists of more than 500 tufa spires, some as high as 140 feet, rising from the bed of the Searles Dry Lake basin. The Trona Pinnacles were designated a National Natural Landmark by the U.S. Department of the Interior in 1968 to preserve one of North America’s most outstanding examples of tufa tower formation.

The Wall Street Mill in Joshua Tree National Park was a complete and operable gold ore crushing mill featuring late-19th century two-stamp mill machinery. Consequently, the significance encompasses the mill machinery, the building which houses it, the well which supplied water for the mill's operation, and the well pump. It is the only gold ore crushing mill in the region that retains integrity.
