Dindori District, formerly known as Ramgarh District, is a district of Madhya Pradesh state of central India. It is surrounded by Shahdol in the east, Mandla in the west, Umaria in the north, and Mungeli district of the state of Chhattisgarh in the south.
Ghughua Fossil Park is a National Park, located in Dindori. Here fossils of trees of six and a half million years are preserved as an invaluable heritage. It was discovered here in 1970. It has been preserved in glass showcases. These fossils are very precious and give a lot of information about the history of Earth.
