The Lower Lake or Chhota Talab is a lake in Bhopal, The lake was built by creating in 1794 to beautify the city. It is now a popular tourist attraction in Bhopal. a lot of people comes here and enjoys this peaceful surrounding.

Upper lake is now famous as Bhojtal. It is a huge lake which is built artificially for the water source for the residents of the city. It was built around the year 1005 by king Paramara Raja Bhoj. This upper lake and the nearby lower lake comprises and forms the Bhoj wetland. Not only tourists, there are also so many migratory birds and other living beings come here and quench their thirst.
