Chilkigarh, kanakdurga mandir

Kanakdurga temple of Chilkigarh is the main attraction of the district. The temple is covered in the west by a dense forest that is covered with medicinal plant of 433 types and has a beautiful river that flows between the raj palace of Chilkigarh and Kanakdurga temple.

Dudh Pukur tank

One of the principal attractions of the Tarakeshwar town. Tarakeshwar temple often takes a dip in this tank for the fulfillment of their wishes. It is also believed that the water in the tank possesses medicinal properties and a bath here can keep one healthy.

Kansabati River

This river rises from the Chota Nagpur plateau in the state of West Bengal and passes through the districts of Purulia, Bankura and Paschim Medinipur in West Bengal before draining in the Bay of Bengal. there is a dam built across this river.

Karala River

Santragachi  Lake
