Serchhip

The establishment of Serchhip District came into being on 15th September, 1998 from the existence of Rural Development Block. Serchhip is the smallest district in the state. The Tropic of Cancer passed through the District and is located in the central of the state of Mizoram. Serchhip is adjoined by Champhai District in the East, Aizawl in the North and North West and Lunglei District in the South.

Tuirihiau falls

The Tuirihiau Falls is located 5 kilometres south of Thenzawl in Serchhip district in the Indian state of Mizoram. It is located in Vanva river near Thenzawl. The uniqueness of this waterfall is that you see from behind as it caves in behind the fall like an arc.

Vantawng Falls

The Vantawng Falls is located in the Serchhip district in Mizoram. Vantawng Falls is the highest waterfall in the state. It is also the 13th highest waterfall in the country. The waterfall is named after an excellent swimmer, named Vantawnga. The Vantawng waterfall is located in the Vanva River and is 137 away from the capital city of Aizawl.
