Mizoram

Mizoram is a state in northeastern India, with Aizawl as its capital city. The name is derived from "Mizo", the name of the native inhabitants, and "Ram", which means land, and thus Mizoram means "land of the Mizos". Dampa Tiger Reserve Sanctuary

Dampha Tiger Reserve is a tiger reserve of western Mizoram, India. It covers an area of about 500 km2 in the Lushai Hills at an altitude range of 800–1,100 m It was declared a tiger reserve in 1994 and is part of Project Tiger. It consists of forest interpolated with steep precipitous hills, deep valleys, jungle streams, ripping rivulets, natural salts licks.
