The 15th tiger reserve of India which was set up on 16th February 1983. it serves as an international corridor for the migration of elephants between India and Bhutan. and it is home to 67 species of mammals, 36 species of reptiles and 230 species of unidentified avifauna and encompasses more than eight types of forests.

Chakrasila wildlife sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary falling under Dhubri and Kokrajhar districts of Assam, India. It is famous for the golden langur and is the second protected habitat for golden langur in India.

The Chandra Prabha Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Chandraprabha, is situated in Chandauli district of Uttar Pradesh state in central India. Dibru-Saikhowa National Park is a national park in Assam, India, located in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts. It was designated a Biosphere Reserve in July 1997 with an area of 765 km2. The park is bounded by the Brahmaputra and Lohit Rivers in the north and Dibru river in the south. It mainly consists of moist mixed semi-evergreen forests, moist mixed deciduous forests, canebrakes and grasslands. It is the largest salix swamp forest in north-eastern India, with a tropical monsoon climate .

The Dudhwa National Park is a national park in the Terai belt of marshy grasslands of northern Uttar Pradesh, India, and covers an area of 490.3 km2 with a buffer zone of 190 km2. It is part of the Dudhwa Tiger Reserve covering the areas of Kheri and Lakhimpur districts. It is located on the Indo-Nepal border in the Lakhimpur Kheri District,

Pt. Govind Ballabh Pant High Altitude Zoo is a high altitude zoo situated in Nainital, Uttarakhand. Established in 1984 and opened to the public in 1995, it is situated on the Sher Ka Danda hill at a height of 2,100 meters (6,900 ft) above sea-level and is spread over 4.6 hectares (11 acres). It is the only High Altitude Zoo in north India, besides those in Darjeeling and Sikkim. Over the years it has become a popular tourist attraction.

Gajner Wildlife Sanctuary is located at a distance of about 32.0 km from Bikaner. This was a hunting ground for the Maharaja of Bikaner. There is a lake in this sanctuary and a variety of animals come here to quench their thirst in summer. This is one of the proposed forests for the reintroduction of Cheetahs is India.

Gangotri National Park is a national park in Uttarkashi District of Uttarakhand in India, Its habitat consists of coniferous forests, alpine meadows and glaciers. he park harbors Western Himalayan subalpine conifer forests at lower elevations and Western Himalayan alpine shrub and meadows at higher elevations. Vegetation consist of chirpine deodar, fir, spruce, oak and rhododendrons.
