About Kakching
Kakching District is one of the 16 districts of Manipur state in northeastern India. This district is bounded by Thoubal district on the north, Ukhrul and Chandel districts on the east, Churchandpur and Bishnupur districts on the south and Imphal West and Imphal East districts on the west. The Kakching District is one of the newly form district by the Government of Manipur in 2016 from Thoubal district.

Khongjom War Memorial Complex

Khongjom War Memorial is a historical attraction located on Kheba Hill on Indo-Myanmar road. Khongjom War Memorial is one of the popular tourist place in Thoubal district that reminds the visitors about the war which held between the locals of Manipur and the British Army in 1891. Specifically, the memorial is dedicated to Major General Paona Brajabashi who martyred while serving for his motherland.
