The Manipur State Museum in Imphal was inaugurated on 23rd September 1969. The museum comprises galleries of archaeological, ethnology and natural history. The art gallery cum museum is run by the artist Shri Gurumayum Shyamsunder Sharma and the museum is situated in a single shed like room within an area of 1000 square feet. Established in 1978.
