Large bronze statue of Buddha Shakyamuni. The statue is sited near Po Lin Monastery and symbolizes the harmonious relationship between man and nature, people and faith. It is a major center of Buddhism in Hong Kong and is also a tourist attraction.

Ngong Ping 360 connects Tung Chung, on the north coast of Lantau and itself linked to central Hong Kong by the Tung Chung Line, with the Ngong Ping area in the hills above- home to the Po Lin Monastery and the Tian Tan Buddha. Before Ngong Ping 360's opening, the only access was via a mountain road and bus service.

The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge is a 55-kilometre bridge–tunnel system consisting of a series of three cable-stayed bridges, an undersea tunnel, and four artificial islands. It is both the longest sea crossing and the longest open-sea fixed link on earth.
