About Alignements de Carnac

The megalithic site of Carnac, the most famous in the region, remains a high place of European prehistory. It has been classified as a historic monument since 1889. Built between the 5th and the 3rd millennium BC, the two main sites Ménec and Kermario alone group together nearly 3000 menhirs. These alignments extend over nearly 4 kilometers.
