About Bündner Kunstmuseum

The collection at the Bündner Kunstmuseum has grown since its foundation around 1900 as a result of Grisons’ special cultural situation: this includes its character shaped by the mountain landscape and interaction between emigration and tourism. A great collection was created with numerous works by Angelika Kauffmann, the Giacometti family of artists, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, the "Rot-Blau" artists’ group, who all have a close relationship with the canton of Grisons and are important to art histor
