Albula Pass - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

Piz Kesch is a peak in the Albula Alps of the Rhaetian Alps in Switzerland. At 3,418 meters, it is the highest peak in the Albula Alps and the municipality of Bergün, Grisons. A network of marked mountain paths leads to the southern, western and northern face of Piz Kesch whereas the eastern face is covered with a glacier and connected with the rest of this massif thus not accessible on hiking trails.

The Lower Engadine is a long high Alpine valley region in the eastern Swiss Alps in the canton of Graubünden in southeasternmost Switzerland with about 25,000 inhabitants. Lai da Palpuogna is a mountain lake at Albula Pass in the municipality of Bergün, in the Grisons, Switzerland. In a 2007 television program of the Swiss channel SF 1, the lake was voted the most beautiful place in Switzerland. It was one of the picturesque locations and is an ideal place for a short picnic.

Muottas Muragl is a location on the southern slopes of the Blais da Muottas, a summit at the western end of the range descending from Piz Vadret, in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. It overlooks the Engadin, between the towns of Samedan, St. Moritz and Pontresina. The mountain is within the municipality of Samedan. It is accessible by a funicular railway, between Celerina and Pontresina, the Muottas Muragl Bahn, from the train stations Punt Muragl and Punt Muragl Staz, both served by the Rhaetia

Corviglia is a location on the eastern slopes of Piz Nair, overlooking St. Moritz in the canton of Graubünden. It lies on the watershed between the rivers Schlattain and the Ovel da la Resgia, at an elevation of 2,486 m. Corviglia is mainly accessible from the town by the St. Moritz–Corviglia funicular, via Chantarella. At Corviglia, an aerial tramway climbs west to Piz Nair, unloading slightly below its summit.

Lej da Staz is a lake in the Engadin valley, Grisons, Switzerland. Close to Lake St. Moritz, it is surrounded by the forest of Staz. It was one of the beautiful picnic locations in this area and is also a place for swim and fishing.
