Tegallalang Rice Terrace is one of the famous and well known terraced paddy field in Bali. It wasn't that exciting for me as I hail from a place known for paddy cultivation. There are also number of shops or warungs to eat, drink and shop during your time their.

However, I noticed that though you pay upfront 10k IDR as entry fee, there are a number of "donation" posts set out their along your walk in the field and in this part of the world donations are mandatory. The reason for donations I heard was that bridge maintenance, different owner and I gave it up when I reached the third one. It was bit late that I came to know about a larger UNESCO paddy field further along the way which doesn't have this donation menace.
