The Botanic Garden of the University of Zurich, part of the Institute of Systematic Botany, serves research, teaching, public education, and recreation. About 9’000 plant species are cultivated on the grounds. A special goal is to have a good representation of worldwide plant diversity, European plants, and special collections, which are built up and maintained by research groups, such as water plants and primitive flowering plants.

The North American Native Museum, abbreviated NONAM, is a Museum run by the City of Zurich. The Pavillon Le Corbusier is a museum in Zürich, designed by and dedicated to the famous Swiss architect Charles-Édouard Jeanneret, best known as Le Corbusier. It is the last building designed by Le Corbusier marking a radical change of his achievement of using concrete and stone, framed in steel and glass, in the 1960s created as a signpost for the future.

The Zurich Tram Museum offers a great rainy day activity for kids. The museum is essentially a large garage bay that holds several historical models of Zurich’s trams. As soon as you enter the museum, your child is given a ticket that they can validate in a machine. Then you can make your rounds getting in and looking at all the old Zurich trams.

The Zurich Opera House is the smallest of the world's large opera houses with approximately 1,100 seats. There were around 250 performances take place every year featuring international stars.
