King Fahd's Fountain, also known as the Jeddah Fountain is a fountain in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was a gift to Jeddah city from King Fahd. It was built in 1985 with a 260-meters hight that places it as the tallest of its type worldwide.

This commercial area is called Al-Balad meaning "the town". This is Jeddah's historic town, founded in the 7th century. It had defensive walls until the 1940s. In the 1970s and 1980s, when Jeddah began to become wealthier due to the oil boom, many Jeddawis moved north, away from Al-Balad, as it reminded them of less prosperous times. Currently, it has many museums and stores, and it is a UNESCO's World Heritage site.
