The navy museum was founded in 1853 and has been in the old magazine on Karljohansvern since 1864. The lighthouse offer accommodation up to 40 people in the lighthouse and Naustloftet. The lighthouse itself is operated by the association of Fuglehuks friends, looked after by the foundation Fulehuk Fyr.
