Blåhø - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

Gjevillvatnet is a lake in the municipality of Oppdal in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the Trollheimen mountain range, about 5 kilometers south of the mountain Blåhøa and about 5 kilometers northwest of the village of Vognillan. The lake was regulated for hydroelectric power-production in the 1970s. Water is tapped from the bottom in the western part of the lake, for use in the Driva power station.

Vinnufossen or Vinnufallet is the tallest waterfall in Europe and the sixth-tallest in the world. The 865-meter tall tiered horsetail waterfall is located just east of the village of Sunndalsøra in the municipality of Sunndal in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The falls are part of the river Vinnu which flows down from the Vinnufjellet mountain and it is fed from the Vinnufonna glacier. The falls flow into the river Driva near the village of Hoelsand.

Dovrefjell–Sunndalsfjella National Park is a National Park in Norway. It was established in 2002 to replace and enlarge the former Dovrefjell National Park, established in 1974. It occupies 1,693 square kilometres. Together with the National Park, there are eight landscape protected areas and two biotope protected areas that were established adjacent to the park in 2002, comprising a total protected area of 4,366 square kilometres, including also parts of Hedmark county.

Ruten is a mountain in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 1,040-meter tall mountain is located on the border of the municipalities of Heim and Rindal. The mountain stands about 8 kilometers southeast of the village of Vinjeøra in Heim. This is the highest point in the municipality of Heim. The mountain has a topographic prominence of 742 meters and a topographic isolation of 23.91 kilometers

The mountain is inside Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella National Park. Under good conditions in both summer and winter, the ascent is relatively easy. Common starting points are the DNT-cabins Reinheim, Snøheim, or Åmotdalshytta.
