Nidaros Cathedral is a cathedral of the Church of Norway located in the city of Trondheim in Trøndelag county. It is built over the burial site of King Olav II, who became the patron saint of the nation, and is the traditional location for the consecration of new kings of Norway. It was built over a 230 year period, from 1070 to 1300 when it was substantially completed. The Church of Our Lady is a medieval stone church with a fascinating and rich history. Located in the heart of Trondheim, the church is one of the most famous landmarks in the city. Today the church has a diverse range of responsibilities, regularly holding services and functioning as a shelter for the city’s less fortunate population.

Trondheim Art Museum shows both exhibitions from our extensive collection of Norwegian and international art and contemporary art exhibitions. We have two viewing locations: TKM Bispegata and TKM Gråmølna. TKM Bispegata is the museum's main arena and is located by Nidaros Cathedral. In TKM Gråmølna in Trenerys gate by Nedre Elvehavn, you will find works from Kunstgaven Håkon Bleken and other exhibitions.

A statue of Olav Tryggvason is located in Trondheim, Norway. Sculpted by sculptor Wilhelm Rasmussen, it honors King Olav Tryggvason who was the city's founder. The 18-meter high statue is mounted on top of an obelisk. It stands at the center of the city square at the intersection of the two main streets, Munkegata and Kongens gate.

tiftsgården is the official Royal Residence in Trondheim, where the Royal Family lives if they are visiting the city or the region of Trøndelag. The building is a magnificent example of 18th architecture. It was built between 1774 and 1778 for Lady Cecilie Christine Schøller (1720-1786), an ambitious widow of chamberlain Stie Tønsberg Schøller. It was one of the key attractions in this area.

Kristiansten Fortress has been a central part of the fortress city of Trondheim since the end of the 17th century, as part of Johan Caspar von Cicignon and Anthony Coucheron's fortifying city plan for Trondheim after the city fire in 1681. The defense of the city was originally built on the fortifications along the Nidelven and Skansen and the fjord.
