Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

Established as a national park in 1999, it covers 969 km² in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, about 85 km southwest from the popular tourist destination of Hua Hin. The park mountains are part of the Tenasserim Hills Range, spanning over many protected areas in Thailand and Myanmar. The forests consists of dry and moist evergreen forests with trees such as Dipterocarpus tuberculatus, Hopea odorata, Terminalia chebula and different species of palms.

Rajabhakti Park, located in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, is a historically themed park honouring past Thai kings from the Sukhothai period to the current royal house of Chakri.

The Singkhon Pass, additionally known as the Maw-daung Pass, has an international pass-border checkpoint. This s a pass across the Tenasserim Hills on the border between Thailand and Myanmar, at an elevation of 245 meters. This border checkpoint is currently also being developed as a tourist attraction with new shops opening in the area by the road on the Thai side. The view from here is truly astonishing and it attracts a lot of people here.

Phra Ram Ratchaniwet Palace is an extremely elegant building in typical early 20th-century European style. The Palace is located on the grounds of a Thai army camp in Petchaburi town, some two hours drive South West of Bangkok. The Palace was designed by German architect Karl Siegfried Döhring, who also designed several other Royal Palaces and villas, including Varadis Palace and the Somdej Residence of Bang Khun Phrom Palace in Bangkok.
