Ao Nang is a central point of the coastal province of Krabi, Thailand. The town consists chiefly of a main street, which is dominated by restaurants, pubs, shops, and other commerce aimed at tourists. The main beach is used by sunbathers to a certain extent, but there are a large number of long-tail boats that offer access to other beaches on the mainland and on nearby islands.

Railay Beach is, in fact, a small peninsula that counts four beaches. Now on every savvy traveler's list, Railay is nevertheless one of Thailand's most sought-after beach areas. Just south of Ao Nang Beach, around a rocky headland and accessible only by boat, Railay presents a tranquil and extraordinary world.

Ko Poda is an island off the west coast of Thailand, in Krabi Province, about 8 kilometers from Ao Nang. It is part of the Mu Ko Poda, or Poda Group Islands, which are under the administration of Hat Nopharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. The group consists of Ko Poda, Ko Kai, Ko Mo, and Ko Thap.

Wat Kaew Korawaram, also known simply as Wat Kaew, is the largest Buddhist temple within Krabi Town and one of most prestigious in the entire region, though not as famous as the Tiger Cave Temple located outside the city. Perched on a hill overlooking Krabi downtown, the temple dates back to 1887, when 200 families settled at Baan Pak Nam, which was the name of city at that time, and a community of monks sprang up and prospered.

Bamboo Island is a true tropical paradise. Known by locals as Koh Mai Phai, the stunning tiny island is just a short strip of white sand beach which rises from the sea, about 600 meters wide and 700 m long, with a shape like a heart. Its central part is covered with lush vegetation, mostly Casuarinas trees and the Bamboo trees, hence its name. On the north-eastern side of the island, under the shade of trees, there is a small bar for visitors, which serves drinks and snacks.
