Haleakalā National Park is an American national park located on the island of Maui in the state of Hawaii. Named after Haleakalā, a dormant volcano within its boundaries, the park covers an area of 33,265 acres (52.0 sq m). The park is divided into two distinct sections, one is the summit area and the other is coastal Kipahulu area.

The cave is the largest lava tube on Maui and the 18th largest lava tube in the world. The tube was created over 960 years ago as lava spewed up from underground towards the ocean surface.

Waiʻanapanapa means “glistening fresh water” in the Hawaiian language, referring to nearby fresh water streams and sparkling pools.The park has seabird colonies, lava tubes, blowholes, freshwater caves, and a natural stone arch.

Kaihalulu Beach or Red Sand Beach, located just south of Maui's Hana Bay, has red-black sand, a product of the cinder cone hill on the northern end of the cove.

Waimoku Falls is said-to-be 400ft tall waterfall situated at the head of Ohe’o Gulch. A Pipiwai trail leads hikers to this waterfall through amazing bamboo forest.
