The resort is the flagship destination of Disney's worldwide corporate enterprise and has become a popular staple in American culture. The park comprises four theme parks, two water parks, 27 themed resort hotels, nine non-Disney hotels, several golf courses, a camping resort, and other entertainment venues, including the outdoor shopping center Disney Springs.

When combined with its neighbor Discovery Cove and Aquatica, it forms SeaWorld Parks and Resorts Orlando, an entertainment complex consisting of the three parks and many hotels. Universal Orlando consists of two theme parks, a water park, a night-time entertainment complex, six Loews Hotels, and an upcoming park, Epic Universe.
A 110-acre (45 ha) theme park and wildlife preserve. Billed as the "Alligator Capital of the World," Gatorland features thousands of alligators (including rare leucistic alligators) and crocodiles, and many other animals. Attractions in the park include a breeding marsh with a boardwalk and observation tower, zip lines, an off-road swamp vehicle tour, a ridable miniature railroad, alligator feeding shows, alligator wrestling shows, an aviary, a petting zoo, and educational programs.
A Christian-based theme park. It recreates the architecture and themes of the ancient city of Jerusalem in 1st-century Judea and conducts weekly church services and bible studies for the general public.
A public park surrounded by four streets. Lake Eola is the main feature of the park. Also located in the park (on the west side) is the Walt Disney Amphitheater, which hosts many community events and various performances year-round. On the east side of the park is a Chinese pagoda, and a playground.

Named for the fruit that constituted the county's main commodity crop. At its peak in the early 1970s, some 80,000 acres (320 km2) were planted in citrus in Orange County. The dark-green foliage of orange trees filled the county, as did the scent of the orange blossoms when in bloom. Fewer commercial orange groves remained by the end of the twentieth century.
