The Manipur Zoological Gardens is located around 8 km from Imphal in Lamphelpat. This garden was established on 2nd October 1976, covering an area of around 8 hectares and is popular. It is described as the Jewel Box of the state, Manipur Zoological Garden is home to about four hundred common and rare species of animals and birds.
