About Sylvania Wilderness

The Sylvania Wilderness is a stunningly beautiful natural area protected by the United States of America. Located on the Wisconsin-Michigan border, it contains beautiful cedar swamps, aspen ridges, maple and basswood groves, and stands of balsam fir. There are more than 180 species of birds to be found in the wilderness, along with lots of deer, mink, otter, bear and moose sightings.
