About Tunnel Hill State Trail

The Tunnel Hill State Trail is a 45-mile-long rails-to-trails path. This scenic stretch of nature preserves winding from Harrisburg to Karnak passes through woodland and prairies, connecting several small towns and providing opportunities for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and other outdoor activities. Visitors also have access to interpretive signs that provide insight into the area’s history including the original railroad line, remnant sections of which can still be seen.
