Holy Cross Wilderness - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

The Missouri Lakes trail is 4.4 miles long. It begins at Missouri Creek Road #704 and ends at Cross Creek Trail and Fancy Pass Trail #2006: The first mile of the trail passes diversion dams and water pipelines. Just past mile 1, the trail crosses the creek at the mouth of a miniature canyon, creating a breath taking view.The trail climbs a short, steep distance to the basin that holds the Missouri Lakes.

Mount of the Holy Cross is a high and prominent mountain summit in the northern Sawatch Range of the Rocky Mountains of North America. Mount of the Holy Cross has a history of endangering the lives of many hikers. Although the summit on Mount of the Holy Cross is frequently reached on a long day hike, hikers have become stranded or lost through missing the right turn down the ridgeline, heading straight down and into the wilderness.

West Tennessee Lakes is a 5 km blue singletrack trail located near Leadville Colorado. This hike primary trail can be used both directions. It takes off from Lily at a steep grade headed northwest from here. The route finds its way around a rocky hill towards the wide meadow which envelops West Tennessee Creek.
