Big Dry Creek - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

This picturesque park is the heart of Wilmington State Parks and runs along either side of the Brandywine River. The park is approximately 178 acres and it spans both the north and south banks of the Brandywine. Much of the park has been preserved as a mix of wilderness and open space with walking trails and scenic views of the creek and surrounding woods. It also includes active recreational facilities including playgrounds, athletic fields, and Baynard Stadium.

Big Dry Creek is approximately 33 miles long, begins in Jefferson County at Standley Lake, flows north and east through portions of Adams and Broomfield. It receives treated wastewater from several municipalities, including the City and County of Broomfield, Westminster, Thornton and Northglenn.The Big Dry Creek Trail, a recreation trail, roughly follows the creek from Standley Lake Regional Park to Interstate 25.

A beautiful waterpark that is part of the Hyland Hills Park and Recreation District and located in Federal Heights, Colorado. The park occupies 70 acres, making it one of America's largest water theme parks. As of the 2020 season, the park has 52 attractions including a multitude of water slides, a lazy river, inflatable tube rides, multi-guest inflatable raft rides, two wave pools, and a water-themed fun house which offers gondola access from the top of the park.
