Hidden Valley Wildlife Area consists of 1500 scenic acres and has access to 25 miles of hiking and equestrian trails. Visitors can get away from the noise and lights of the city and enjoy the beautiful views of the river or the bluff overlooking the wetland pond. In the winter, Canada geese, northern shovelers, white-crowned sparrows and yellow-rumped warblers make their home here.

When completed, it will be the longest multi-use trail in Southern California, at approximately 100 mile. In 1989, the Los Angeles Times described the path as "a veritable freeway for bicycles".
