California Citrus State Historic Park - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

A wonderful 25-acre amusement park and family amusement center located in Riverside. The park utilizes a medieval "castle" theme and includes attractions such as a miniature golf course, arcade, and 22 amusement rides including two roller coasters such as Merlin's Revenge, a junior rollercoaster, and Screamin' Demon, a spinning Wild Mouse rollercoaster.

Heritage House is an historic house museum in the Queen Anne Victorian style in Riverside, California. It is part of the Museum of Riverside and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on February 28, 1973.The two-story, 4,000 square foot home resides on Magnolia Avenue, which was a prominent thoroughfare at the time of the house's construction. It is restored to reflect the design and lifestyle of wealthy turn-of-the-century Riverside.

Lake Mathews is a large reservoir in Riverside County, California, located in the Cajalco Canyon in the foothills of the Temescal Mountains. The reservoir is fenced and closed to all public access. The lake is near the Riverside community of Lake Hills, and is skirted by Cajalco Road on the south, El Sobrante Road on the north and east, and La Sierra Avenue on the west. La Sierra Avenue traverses the top of the west dike.

The World Museum of Natural History contains outstanding systematic displays of amphibians, birds, mammals and reptiles. Specimens prepared by sculpture and freeze-dry taxidermy are displayed in a lifelike manner. Rounding out the displays are gems and minerals, fluorescent minerals, meteorites and tektites, petrified wood, shells, American Indian artifacts, and contemplative stones.

Martha McLean – Anza Narrows is a 40-acre regional park located along the Santa Ana River in Riverside. A plaque in the northwest corner of the park marks the point at which the Juan Bautista de Anza party, the first Europeans to traverse the Riverside area, crossed the river in 1774 and again in 1776.The park contains picnic facilities, hiking, bicycle and equestrian trails as well as an eighteen hole disc golf course. Group picnicking with reservations is available.
