Sursinhji Takhtasinhji Gohil (1874–1900), popularly known by his pen name, Kalapi was a poet and the royal of Lathi state in Gujarat. The caves are situated at the foot of small hillocks on the banks of a spring. They are carved out of limestone rocks.
