Stadsmuseum Almelo is a regional museum in the Overijssel city of Almelo , managed by the Stichting Museum voor Heemkunde Almelo, which was founded on January 8, 1975. The museum is housed in the Rectorshuis , which was the Latin school in 1783 , and the adjacent Heydapand. Until the end of 1986, the museum was located on the top floor of the Waag building on the Marktplein. The collections are about the former glory of Almelo and developments towards the city of Almelo.
