About Springendal
The Springendal is an erosion valley in the moraine of Ootmarsum (from the Saalian ). It is located north of Ootmarsum and east of Vasse and covers approximately 355 hectares . The area is known for its springs , streams , hills and burial mounds . On the border with Germany is an open area of heathland, the "Horse Slenkte".
