St. Stephen's Cathedral is the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vienna, is one of Vienna’s most culturally significant landmarks. The Anker Clock was created by the famed painter and sculptor Franz von Matsch between the years 1911 and 1914 and represents a typical Art Nouveau design. It is located in the northern part of the inner city in the Hoher Markt.
