About Grebenzen
The Grebenzen is a high, karstified plateau mountain in the Gurktal Alps on the border between Styria and Carinthia in Austria. Around the highest point are several karst caves. The largest cave is the Wilde Loch. The ski area, also called Grebenzen, is located on the north side of the Grebenzen.

The Zirbitzkogel is the highest point in the Seetal Alps . It lies south of the upper Mur valley in Styria near the border with Carinthia . The Lavant , a left tributary of the Drau , has its source on its southern slope. The area is known to butterfly enthusiasts for some very rare species. In the summit area, an extensive crooked sedge grassland interspersed with almost flat plateaus predominates . The summit area was known among ornithologists as the breeding habitat of the morellel plover.
