Präbichl - 4 Things to Know Before Visiting

A majestic mountain in the Ennstal Alps in the Austrian federal state of Styria. A good trekking destination and also it offers beautiful views too.

The Erzberg mine is a large open-pit mine placed in Eisenerz, Styria. Erzberg represents the most important iron ore reserves in Austria and this mine produces round 2,153,000 tonnes of iron ore in line with 12 months. It is also the site of the annual Erzberg Rodeo hard enduro race.

A beautiful mountain lake in Styria. It is situated at 628 metres above sea level at the foot of the Seemauer in the western Hochschwab range. The lake is surrounded by rugged mountains with mixed or coniferous forests. A 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) hiking trail circles the lake. There is a local outfit that rents electric or rowing boats. The lake is named after the nearby Leopoldstein Castle.

Grüner See is a lake in Styria, Austria in a village named Tragöß. The lake is surrounded by forests and three mountains. The lake was popular among divers who could observe the green meadows in the edge zone of the lake particularly in June when the water is at its highest. Because of the spike in tourist visits that has occurred and expected damage to this sensitive environment, the use of this lake for all watersports activities has been prohibited since 1 January 2016.

A beautiful high mountain and the highest summit in the eponymous mountain range. It offers a nice trekking route ad also its summit is a flat, rock and grass-covered dome, that may easily be climbed from the Schiestlhaus.

The Ybbstal Alps are a mountain range of the Northern Limestone Alps and part of the Eastern Alps, located in Austria.They occupy an area along the borders of the states of Upper Austria, Lower Austria and Styria. The range includes the eastern part of the Eisenwurzen, as well as the Göstling Alps and the Kräuterin in the south.
