Steingasse is one of the oldest streets on the right side of the Salzburg historic district. It runs parallel to the River Salzach at the foot of the Kapuzinerberg, its medieval charm captivating visitors from around the world. It dates back to the time when Salzburg was the Roman city of Juvavum. In the middle ages, it became an important trade route and was the main entry point for salt consignments from the Hallein Township.

In the centre of the Mozartplatz is the Mozart Monument, a statue of the composer by Ludwig Schwanthaler. The statue was to be unveiled in 1841 on the 50th anniversary of Mozart's death. However, this was delayed because a Roman mosaic had been found on the site selected for the statue. After the mosaic had been excavated, the statue was eventually unveiled on 4 September 1842. The marble pedestal on which the statue sits was donated by King Ludwig I of Bavaria.

The Salzburger Volksgarten is located in the Parsch district south of the Äußerer Stein settlement area and offers an outdoor pool , an ice rink, sports field and a public park. In summer strollers and bikers can relax at the pond with its big fountain and while enjoying the cool shadow of the trees you can watch the water birds. Most of the time the park is popular, but it is seldom crowded.

The Roman Catholic St. Sebastian's Church is a baroque church in Salzburg on Linzer Gasse , which belongs to the Inner Right Town or Neustadt .
