About Lecknertal

The Lecknertal is a predominantly agriculturally used valley in the Allgäu pre-Alps west of the Iller . The lower part of the valley is in Hittisau in Austria , while the upper part is in the municipality of Oberstaufen in Germany. During the summer months, the valley is used for livestock farming in around 50 Alps . Due to the high location and the harsh climate, however, year-round cultivation is not possible.

A majestic 1565 m high peak in the Allgäu Alps . It is the westernmost mountain in the Hochgratkette and belongs to the Nagelfluhkette Nature Park . The German-Austrian border runs over the summit . The notch height of the Hochhäderich is at least 105 meters, its dominance 2.4 kilometers, with the Einguntkopf being the reference mountain in each case.
