About Hengstpass

The Hengstpass is a mountain pass in the Upper Austrian municipality of Rosenau am Hengstpass on the border with Styria . It separates the Reichraminger Hintergebirge from the Haller Mauern. The pass crossing is developed as a state road L 550 and connects the towns of Windischgarsten and Rosenau on the Hengstpass with the towns of Oberlaussa and Unterlaussa , some in Styria, some in Upper Austria, and the Styrian market town of Altenmarkt .
