The Kilpatrick Hills are a range of hills in central Scotland, stretching from Dumbarton in the west to Strathblane in the east. Burncrooks reservoir is a man-made body of water that offers a picturesque walk as part of the John Muir Way between Balloch and Strathblane. There are good well maintained walking paths running around the lake with fine views to the Luss hills, Arrochar Alps and Ben Lomond.
