Hastings Museum & Art Gallery is a family-friendly museum with amazingly diverse collections and it was established over 125 years ago and has always offered people the opportunity to explore art, culture and history from around the world. The early local history gallery recounts the history of the area from prehistory to the Saxons. Local wildlife is displayed in dioramas of different local habitats, and there is a dinosaur gallery.

Hastings Castle was originally a wooden tower built on top of a man made mound or motte, which was surrounded by an outer courtyard or bailey. The ruins you can see today are only half of the original structure; the castle’s south wall and keep were lost to the sea whilst remains of the east gate and east wall – which served as the foundation for the two towers, can still be seen.

West Hill Lift, is a funicular railway located in the English seaside town of Hastings. It runs largely in the tunnel, and provides access to Hastings Castle and St Clement's Caves from George Street, on the town's seafront. The West Hill overlooks the sea to the south, the Old Town to the east, and the current central business district of Hastings to the west.

Explore atmospheric underground caves and discover more about the shady goings-on that took place here in the 17th and 18th centuries.
